Ace 250's in Virginia?

G,day all,a good friend of mine is going to Virginia State & City Richmond in early March.I have convinced him to purchase a metal detector while hes over there.He is looking at getting a Ace 250 mainly because of the price there selling for.Now can someone tell me if there are any Detector supply shops in Virginia that sell Garrett Ace 250's & do they have them in stock .With Customs how much goods are you allowed to bring back with you.I might get a Ace 250 as well! My main machine is a GTAX 1000 & I wouldnt trade or sell it for the world,I love the features it has.
