ace 250

I am thinking about getting an Ace 250. I currently have a VLF bounty hunter. Is the Garrett ACE 250 a good choice? I live in Illinois.

I know nothing about any other detectors since the ACE 250 was my first. I'll buy another Garrett when need be and another 250 if that's all I need. You won't be sorry........Read the testimonials here.....

Best choice there is. It's the most sold detector out there - and for good reason.

The difference is chalk and cheese. My first detector was a Bounty Hunter Tracker 4. unless you hunt at a beach, then it's a lot harder to use than the Ace. The Ace will give you a LOT more information, handle iron infestations a heap better and has a killer pinpoint mode to boot (gives plenty of target information as well once you become familiar with it). Prettier to look at too. I would suggest that you use headphones with a volume control though, as it can be a bit loud sometimes. I have hunted without headphones at times, as well as ear buds without a volume control a fair bit, but it did annoy me at times, so volume control is a good idea.
To be honest, I don't think that you will use the Bounty Hunter much after you become familiar with the Ace.Just from personal experience.

I own some top end detectors - and the ACE really likes to hunt. I call it my "bird dog"! Seems to bark at me if I pick something else to hunt with.

Thanks guys I think I will get myself the ACE 250. I had originally thought I wanted the White Prizm 2. Unless someone thinks otherwise.
