Ace 250????

robert roy

New member
What do you think an Ace 250 used, should sell for? I went to Ebay but
I don't see much happening there. Except for "BUY IT NOW" & $212.00
I saw only one machine with 9 current bids, the latest at $158.00.

Regards
Robert

Are you looking to sell or buy? If buying get new. If selling why?

I read the other forums. You really need to keep it for a back up detector or if someone goes with you MDing. Simple to use. It is also great for pr if you want the land owner to detect with you. It is light weight and good for kids. Good water detector also. If you drop it in the water minimal loss.

You won't find to many for sale used. Here is why. Most people buy them, like them and keep them. The few on Ebay I have seen go for almost as much as new.

You need to buy the 250 new from one of the sponsors here. Call all of them and see which ones give you be best freebies. Then sell the freebies on ebay to reduce your cost. This should get the new 250 down to about 180.00 Good luck!

Just go to Garrett.com, look for a local dealer. I was lucky, found one close by, called them, just a local hobby shop in his garage. A great guy. Gave me a great deal, about what you can get on Ebay or here. Then he threw in head phones, digger, carrying bag and about a 30 minute do's and don'ts to get you started and a place to take it back in case something went wrong. Had mine for about 3 months now, need to go back and show him some of my finds. I promised him I would.

I saw some great deals on the Ace 250 in Western and Eastern treasures magazine for 179.00. I paid 212.00 on Metaldetectors.com and it came with a 100.00 worth of stuff like shovels and pouches and books.

I bought mine for 165, almost brand new...I haggled a bit to get it lower. Used they still go for about 175. I saw an ad for someone selling one with the larger coil and the stock coil for $225

I bought a GTI 2500 a month ago and at least 10 people have offered to buy my ACE 250 since then. I said you can use it anytime you want to come hunt with me but I wouldn't part with it for keeps. Besides you can have one at your door for $210.00 new and under warranty. Lot of other great points already made. Light enough for kids to use, great performer as a spare, cool color, and on and on.

Hope you'll post pics of your first finds!

Chris
