Ace 250,,

i allways use the notch just before nickles thats where the foil falls & many of the white gold & platum rings:detecting:
good hunting

if you are not picking up a cigerett pack you are missing some dandy rings:wiggle: heres my custom setting it removes a lot o trash & gives me the best edge on rings

Just fine. The higher the gold content the closer to foil you'll get as they both have the same conductivity.

Bill

Its hot on nickels and very tiny items so it should be no problem to pickup gold.I got 11 nickels last nite but no gold:(

Well its like 90 or 95 today couldn't stay out long.Went to a fairly high trash area using ace 250 and sniper coil and in a short time this is the coins i found fact i turned of the penny range because it was to hot to stay and dig them all i also lost a couple of nickels, dint know if i missed my pocket or what,The trash that i did pick up was mostly small foil around the size of a ring and a few cans smashed flat.So this is a really good setting for me and my brother in law tyred them last night in his dads yard and had some good result. Thanks for the information. Also started swinging my sniper coil faster side to side but over lapping swings moving forward slower seemed not to lock on trash as much only something solid.[attachment 31567 DSCN7499.JPG]

hello, my name is Daniel. I loved watching guys on the beach hunting, and i thought it was really interesting. I just got and ace 250 and i am really excited to bring it on its maiden voyage.

YES SOME RINGS WILL FALL THERE & ALL OVER THE SCALE & IF HUNTING A BEACH I USE THE JEWELRY MODE BUT WHEN HUNTING IN TRASHY PLACES I USE THE SETTING I SHOWED
GIVES ME THE BEST PERCENTAGE OF RINGS VERSES TRASH
GOOD HUNTING
THE ACE IS THE BEST MOST FUN DETECTOR I HAVE EVER USED IN 27 YEARS:super:

YOU GOT THE RIGHT DETECTOR DAN JUST GO OUT & FIND FIND FIND:wiggle:

There are those that recommend "the lane" which is that region between the low and high tide lines. Tricky with an Ace 250, though, as it doesn't have manual ground balance and the salt water in the sand throws it off a bit. You have to reduce your sensitivity there, and be willing to dig trash and false signals. But that's where I've found a couple of rings myself with my Ace.

The Ace does excel, though, in dry sand. Look for any place where people would gather, or jump around alot like a volleyball court. I've even had good luck around life guard towers, where girls like to show off for the lifeguards.

Basically, I would suggest the whole darned beach, search in a grid pattern, take your time, and dig, dig, dig.

HH!
