Anyone used the Ace 250 in myrtle Beaches.? How well does it work in there sand? I do have the extera DD coil.

On the 250 notch out everything left of the nickel(discrimination) run at 4 bars(sensitivity) You can now run in wet sand with no false signals.Good luck and HH Wayne in Delaware PS run in the jewelry mode.

I do the notch the same way but run at "6" on the sens in the wet sand here in Panama City Beach....

Hi , I have a new Garret 250 and live in England ...
only had it just over two weeks and have permission for some farmland.. have only been out twice and am trying to understand the settings... and the difference between American coins and ours ... have left it on factory settings as the DVD said but the machine is picking up all rusty metal objects and don't know how to stop picking these up and yet not miss anything better ..
I wonder if anyone can give me any information that might help Please !!!!!

Hi LollyB, I don't think you can miss the relics and rusty metal both since they are often one and the same. American coins and British coins I can't tell you much about except that I found an English 2 Pence (1989). which showed up on my Ace 250 as a dime. Also found an Irish 1 pound coin which showed up as a quarter. Do you find many American coins over there?
