Ace 250

I am thinking of getting an ACE 250, sounds like all of y'all think a lot of this machine. How is the depth? How is it for relics?
I have had a Compass Relic Magnum for 25 years, its time for a new lighter machine. What do y'all think of the Whites Classic 5 ID?

:usaflag:The Classic 5 ID was my runner-up when I was looking for a detector. Ultimately I went with the Ace 250. I found a '27 Peace Dollar about a week or so into it...and have found numerous old spent (and live) rounds. It'll find anything basically. The Peace Dollar was down just over 6 inches, and I've had plenty of iron targets over 8+ down. I never had an opportunity to try the 5 ID..so I can't give you a comparison there...good luck!

I use mine a lot with the sniper coil..
Im just getting used to it but so far
I really enjoy it

Only had my 250 about a month and I've found $10+ in clad, numerous bullets, keys, and weird stuff. My best find was just today with a 1907 Indian Head penny. Its all up to your researching abilities and finding the old places to hunt.

Good luck man!

The Ace 250, will, as said by others on the forum, find most anything. Depth is about
6 inches on the average coin size target, and much greater on larger targets.

Whites Classic 5ID? You might want to look at the Coin Master Pro by Whites; it is really the Prism 4
now priced at $279.00, or step up a little to the 5G which is the same as the Prism 5 but
has manual ground Balance added. The Prism 4 is the best for the money if you have decent ground
and don't need to worry about GB.

For many its a toss up between the Ace 250 at $121.00 and the Coin Master Pro at $279.

The Coin Master is probably easier to pinpoint.

Can you buy an ACE 250 cheaper than Kellyco, they have a package deal for $297 which includes the ace and two search heads and some other stuff. I haven't looked anywhere else.

:usaflag:The Ace 250 by itself with the standard 6.5 X 9" coil is about $200 and some change. And the 9 X 12 coil by itself is $85. And you are getting the extras..sounds like a pretty good deal. I picked up the Ace 250 Pro-Pointer package..I'm happy with it.
