Ace 250 Whacks Out?? Clean coil cover

awhitster

I started my Ace 250 and it was going crazy. I got to thinking........ I took off the coil cover, problem solved. It must have had some iron sand or bits of metal trash in it. I cleaned it, put it on and then the little yeller feller worked fine.

I have heard of that happening before. Great information to pass on to others. I bet people have sent their machines in for repair because of this....

permanently eliminate that headache for about $3 ....

Clean the coil and cover all up then attach the cover with a thin bead of silicone sealer (black or clear) near/along the top edge of the cover. No more dirt, no more leaks and easy to clean after a day in the muddy soil.

If you take your time and do a neat job, it comes out looking beautiful (it looks like the cover is actually part of the coil). It is also easily removable should the coil cover ever need to be replaced. I've done this to all of my coils and glad I did.
