ACE 250 SNIPPER COIL

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE DEPTH FOR THE SMALLER SNIPER COIL FOR THE ACE 250? AND IS THE PINPOINTING MORE ACCURATE WITH THIS COIL?

First, please turn your ALL CAPS off when posting, same as screaming on the internet and is very hard to read. Now, to your question. As with any, it depends on your soil conditions, but as a Rule of Thumb, I use the size of the coil is about what you can expect for dependable depth. The 4 1/2" Sniper coil should get you about 4 1/2" depth, more or less. Your stock 6 x 9 should get about 7 1/2" in decent conditions. (6 + 9 divided by 2 = 7.5). As far as pinpointing, it's deadly accurate. You can also run the Sens. up using the Sniper and still be stable. The main benefit is being able to snug up next to chain link fences, sidewalks w/rebar in them and anything metal that you can't get close to with the stock coil.

Depth seems more than usual-I have hit a dime at 6" at 4 bars sensitivity. Pinpointing is dead on, raising the coil makes it extremely accurate. Most of my sites are tot lots, etc. so I don't have any depth statistics for older sites.
