ACE 250 Sniper Coil

Tested the ACE Sniper 4.5" coil today, depth seems to read deeper than actual depth on US coins. Don't know if it was the soil conditions causing this inaccurate reading. My sensitivity was set at 4-5 bars. When air tested, it read more accurate.

Yes depth reading is about 2 inches off.
That is normal because the depth meter is calibrated to the standard coil.

Did you have to coil flush to the ground? That will make it read deeper when you are pinpointing if it isn't. How was the ID? Was a quarter on quarter notch?

I was just skimming over the ground and getting the deeper readings. Also it ID the coins correctly, a quarter was a quarter.

Good to know. I've got one ordered, if it ever shows up. Have used the Sniper from my 1250 and everything worked, except the ID, a copper penny was a dime, a dime was a dime and a quarter was a dime. I didn't really care too much, as I was going to dig them anyways, but I missed the thrill of "Oh goody, a quarter!!"
