ACE 250 questions

Pa Woodhick

New member
I am new to Mding, I was looking at the Ace 250, seems everyone that has one really likes it, but i have some questions.

1. how well does it do in highly mineralized soil? like here in North Central Pa.

2. would adding the 10 x 14 excellerator coil help with the mineralized soil? since the Ace 250 does not have manual ground balance.

3. what kind of depth would the Ace 250 get in these conditions.

I would really like to the 250 but I don't want to get it if it does not work to well in high mineralized soil.

thanks for your time & advice & HH

I live in Oregon where the soil is volcanic and it works fine. Since the 10x14 is a DD coil designed for mineralization it would improve performance greatly in hot soil. Depth is a fleeting term and depends on to many variables to be predicted for any given area.

I live in Florida and search the sand and surff with it and have little problems. if it seems to be showing false targets turn the sensitivity down.
good luck
