Ace 250 question....

I just got my ace 250 and i put it together. My coil doesn't stay tight, it is loose as can be....I read the manual and I seemed to do everything right. Anyone have any ideas???

You have those washers (2) inserted in the end of the lower stem which gets placed into the elephant ears on the coil then held in place with that plastic bolt? Is it fairly tight?

Do you have the washers installed directly under the nut and bolt head? If so that's wrong. They go on the end of the shaft and squeeze into the coil ears. Then the bolt goes through the whole thing.

You should have got two washers with the rod. Place the washers in on both sides of the bottom rod end where the nut and bolt will go AFTER you put on the coil. Once you have the coil on, THEN place the bolt through the hole at the bottom of coil.
Remember:
First the rod.
Second, the washer insertion.
Thrid, put on coil.
Forth, insert nut and bolt.
Fifth, tighten the little sucker.
Sixth and last thing to do: METAL DETECT LIKE HELL!!!!!!!
