ace 250 pinpointing

sawman

New member
Hello everyone, well i finally got the pinpointing down. It does great! Now i just need to work on depth. Been finding lots of coins.

Thats the two machines I started out with sawman, although I put alot more hours on the ace250. I really like that machine.best of luck to you

Once you master the pinpointing, it works likie a charm. I'm very pleased with my Ace. What will make you tear out your hair is to swing over a piece of copper wire that pinpoints EVERYWHERE. That will drive you crazy.

Sawman, share the secret! I had to send my 350 in for service, and picked up a 250 to get me by in the mean time. Pinpointing is way different than with the DD coil... I'm having to dig 6" diameter holes to find a coin!!
Help!!

I have the same problem with my new 350. Very hard for me to pinpoint with it for some reason. seems like i have to dig a 6" wide hole then it still might be in the side. Guess just more practice is what i need.

I got out and played with the 250 a little today, and I think I have it figured out. Found 6 nickels 4 pennies, and a gold ring! I think someone had been cherry picking the park and notching out nickels. Hillbilly, search some of the posts for the "double D wiggle". Pinpointing with the 350 is deadly accurate, it just takes a little getting used to. I spoiled myself with it, and when I had to send my machine in for service, I couldn't work the standard 250 coil anymore!
