ACE 250 "package deal"

New member
Hello everyone,
I am counting down the days to when my layaway is payed out. I found someone to put together package of everything I would need to get started right away.

A Brand new ACE 250 with the usual extras plus a few more at my request; DVD instructions, manual, carry bag, coil cover, batteries, treasure apron, deluxe headphones, deluxe digging tool, coin probe, metal sand scoop, extra 9x12 PROformance coil w/cover.

All for $330.00 "including" shipping. He said I could take 4 months or so to pay but I don't think I can wait that long.

Is this pretty good deal?

Steve

Thanks,
I will mention this to him. What is main advantage of Sniper coil?

Steve

You should do very well. That large coil will cover lots of areas quickly, and give you some added depth as well. I am looking forward to seeing your finds.

It allows one to get nice and close to play equipment, where others can't and get coins and jewelry. It is also a bonus in thick bushes if you like hunting in the woods. I use mine often~

Thanks guys, it looks like I will be adding the Sniper coil. I forgot to mention that I had considered a Garrett GTAX 750 for $400 before the ACE 250. I just could not find out near as much good feedback on it as the 250.

Steve

The advantage is it will get in and out of trash and find coins in between the trash it seems to go pretty deep even though it is 4" round sometimes pop stuff at 5 or 6 " or a little more if ground is wet. it can get next to buildings and curbs and if a place is hot with a lot of iron signals close together and you cant seem to use stock then the sniper will find some coins it is good for in woods around trees in the water banks around river banks. It is for getting in small areas with a lot of brush and tight spots, sometimes i use it to see if i missed anything small. The 250 does not have a manual ground balance you can set. So some hi mineral areas give it a hard time, put the sniper on and reduce that area to 4" start swinging and you will find something. There is only 3 coils for 250 the sniper the stock and big 9x12,the sniper is nice to have. What you want to do is buy lower rods for extra coils and bolts so you don't have to unbolt your coil every time you want to switch.Well hope this helps. You bought a good machine and you got a good deal. Now lets get out and dig.Good luck and good hunting

Thank you guys for all the info. I may as well add the Sniper Coil to while I am at it. I will also ask about price for extra lower rods.

Steve

I'd like to get a couple extra rods fer mine..
It does speed the coil switching a bit.. But
even using the same rod doesn't take too awful
long, as the bolts/nuts are plastic and don't
need any tools or anything. I really like the
sniper coil. May be my favorite.. But they are
all pretty good. The stock coil is ok on it's
own. The 9x12 coil is about the same as the stock
coil, just bigger. It acts and pinpoints the same
as the stock coil. Just a bit deeper, and a bigger
path. The sniper is different. It's a round coil
that pinpoints in the center on the "X",instead of
the upper inner ring like the stock and big coils do.
You will like the 250.. The newer technology works
pretty well, and the price is right. I've had mine
less than a year, and it's already paid for itself.
In my case, it wasn't coins or treasure mine found.
It was property survey markers.. LOL.. Saved me a
substantial survey fee..
I've found the usual coins too. But I'm more into
finding old relics than I am coins. Thats what I originally
got it for.. Prowling around old homesites, land,
etc.. The coins are nice, but I like finding old
items that were used by people. Some of that stuff can
end up be worth more than the coins you might find.
I'm the type that would probably get into digging out
privees, celler pits, etc.. :/
