[attachment 24981 420006.jpg]Went to a local swim beach (fresh water)and the 250 blew me away with its depth in wet sand WOW this thing luvs the beaches. It showed me the ring and about 60 clads surrounding it most were over 6" and the ring was headed to china at over 8" when i finally got it uncovered (thank god beach holes are EASY to cover up..........The ace really proved itself today and I'm glad I'm sticking with it.Oh the bullet holding up the ring is 9mm also recovered there unfired go figure bullets with cases now...Guess you just aim and toss, the bullet does the rest.

The more I use the 250 the more I like it, my wife will be using it, and be selling her ID Excel it looks like.
Thank you
Tom Spencer

Tom, I have owned and used both the Ace 250 and Id Excel.I think the Ace's advantages are it's lighter, balanced better, has notching. The Ace will air test further out than the Excel but in actual ground conditions where I used these two in Michigan the Fisher worked better. The Excel had more depth and discriminated better less thrash more coins.I got a email from the gentleman that I purchased the Id Excel from he lives in Texas. He explained that he would cover a section with his White's and Ace 250 and be amazed what the coins Excel would recover.I think the Ace is a great detector and you may want to keep the Excel.
