Ace 250 on gold

I haven't had time to do much more than lurk through the postings in the last several days, but last time I was able to spend any time here, I was really intriqued on the questions regarding the Ace 250's ability to find gold. Having been thoroughly impressed with the Ace 250 with the sniper coil in finding tiny items, I decided to do a little testing.

I've got two gold nuggets won in planted hunts that I tested with the sniper coil. One weighs 2.7 grams, the other 1.65 grams. In air tests and sensitivity at 7, the sniper coil found them both at 4 to 4-1/2 inches. Good enough for me - I hope that helps whoever had the question.

Hello,
I really enjoyed this post, especially "The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!"

They could have marketed the ACE 250 with the sniper coil as a gold fining machine. That ACE 250 has a lot of surprises built into it that are not in the manual.

Yeah when I field tested the 250 I checked it out on several small nuggets and it passed with flying colors.

I feel the stock coil hits better then the 4.5 on very small target. My boss said the same do to the 4.5 is made for getting in tight spots and close to big metal object.just my thoughts,Joe
