ACE 250 on a plane? to spain?

I'm going to spain in 2 weeks and i'd like to take my new ACE 250. So my question is, has anybody had any problems taking a metal detector on a plane? Am I going to run into any problems at customs? also things have got more strict as of late.

Also ive herd the laws are a bit anti-metal detectorist in spain is this true?
