Ace 250 + new 9 X 12 coil

Went out with a friend the other day to try out my new 9 X 12 coil on my Ace 250. It is quite a combination, to say the least. I thought the Yella Fella was pretty good in itself but with the new coil, it really works great.
 
I think I already have opened up new horizons Bill. Merry Christmas to you and all the others here on the forum. And for those who don't celebrate Christmas, Happy holidays.

Before I gave up my old detector, the dealer let me hold on to it for a week to compare reactions to the same targets out in the wilds. I compared two detectors against the 250, going was SLOW but worth the exercise. What you mentioned about goodies being next to iron was the biggest WOW for me at the time. Time after time the 250 was able to tickle out a repeatable signal, mixed in with an iron signal that the other two units would not even acknowledge. The best one was a half penny right up against a rusted nail. This was with the stock coil.
