Had some real fun today going against a 2 yr so called pro using a 799.95 detector "NO NAMES" and myself and the yeller feller. What killed me to no end was mr pro was using all factory presets on the NO NAME including the gain setting. Okie dokie, should have been less due to very wet conditions. So off we went. Being he had the BETTER detector he led I followed. Coin ratio was a 3 to 2 in garretts favor. In less than 20 min I was praised for being able to take apart a 200 dollar machine and rebuild it with custom chips and all sorts of goodies to make it do what it did. No WAY can a small yellow thing like that get finds they way you did right out of the box. After all was said and done the final question was by the way where did you buy that at? One of the best 4.00 dollar clad days I ever had. I popped 1 quarter at about 11 inches with him watching me dig it up being he walked right over it. Only thing I can figure out is there is a big differance in a 14 khz machine and a 7.0 khz machine.Telling me your a pro does not mean didley squat. Learn your machine. Area hunted was a large school sand pit with very wet dirt my sens setting was at 3 bars. Also found was this very small metal dice it is 1/4 inch square found at 4 inches deep Good luck Loopswinger.

Great job putting the 250 through its paces! But hey give the other guy a little credit huh...at least he knew how to turn his machine on <img src="/metal/html/razz.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":razz"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/garrett.gif" BORDER=0 width=33 height=15 ALT="g~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/garrett.gif" BORDER=0 width=33 height=15 ALT="g~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/garrett.gif" BORDER=0 width=33 height=15 ALT="g~">

OK Loopswinger, great writings but would you be so kind to name names? What was the mystery detector the 250 was competing against?
