It was cloudy and cool today, so I thought that I would do some Pennie popping on land. I got lots of pennies, a nice 1935 mercury Dime and a 1963 silver quarter.

That ols bracelet came out pretty clean after a bout of Dremmel magic! :)

I scrubbed it with a toothbrush & citrus cleaner, then with some baking soda, a quick water rinse, then a quick vinegar dip, then a water dip & wipe, then a jewellers rouge buff (light) and then a final Mr. Clean/Ammonia scrub to remove the rouge.

Whew.........that's what it looks like finished.

I use an ultrasonic cleaner for the silver.

Me to also. John lives in virgin territory. That's the way it used to be around here 30 years ago. Now you're lucky if you find one or two silvers a year. Years ago my friend who used to own D&K Detectors here had a milk crate heaping full of silver coins on display in his store that he had pulled out of the parks and schools around here, plus a few gold coins in a case. One night someone broke in and wiped it all out.

Yeah I'd give anything to come up and spend a day or two beating the turf with you but under my present circumstances it will never happen. Years ago before my wife got down I'd have been up there in a heart beat. But as it is I can look at your posts and dream.:)
