should set the entry level detecting field on fire. It has been designed to be ultra user friendly. Changing batteries is a snap. Just slide the top of the control box back and there lay all four batteries side by side. Just pop them out and pop them in.
The three main control buttons are rocker buttons so you can run the sensitivity up and down or scroll the five hunting modes with ease or change discrimination. The signal intensity and pinpoint are dead on.
The light weight and super sensitive 6x9 coil make it a pleasure to swing. I ran some air tests and dimes come in at 8 inches plus ( and I've dug a couple at that depth ), quarters at 9 inches plus and halves at 10 inches, so this little yellow gem ain't no slouch in the depth department.
I'll keep you posted on my progress.

It sounds like the Ace 250 is a gem.
I coin hunt/jewelry hunt, and have also been looking into the 1350.
Which would be the better choice??

Depends on what you want to spend. The 1350 obviously has more power and features but the little 250 is a real surprise and I may be using one a lot. It's light as a feather and so easy to handle.

So far it's been right on the money. I hunted a patch last night that is part of an old playground that is now grass over bark chips and a booger to dig in. I have hunted this spot before with my big bucks machines but I still managed to pull up $1.60 in about an hour and the coins were all black with age so have been there a spell. Got nine dimes and a couple were down about eight inches.
This little machine is quite a surprise. As I get out more I'll keep all of you up to speed.

Many midline or even entry level for that matter don't have all the bells and whistles but their gain can get them as deep as the big boys...

Yeah look at Tesoro's little Compadre. I think the 250 will be a hot seller, not only to newbies but to oldtimers.
