ace 250 in saltwater

I'm new to this forum but not to detecting. Have been in the water with my Tesoro sandshark. I just got my new ace 250 with the "big 12 inch" and any time I get near the water it goes crazy. Do I have the sensitivity set too high ?
 
thats where I have it set. The beach is on the west side of Oahu and not alot of HOT rocks here. So what am I doing wrong ?? Thanks for the quick response.
