ACE 250 have auto shut off????

:usaflag:I did'nt see anything in the manual when I bought mine, but that's not to say that it was'nt in there. I'd have to dig it out of the filing cabinet and have a look. Either way..as long as it's not shutting off while you are using it...I would say that it's a good thing. Good luck..:detecting:
 
I don't know about the 250 but the GTP 1350 does have an auto shutoff if it's not moved or buttons pushed after so long.:garrett:
 
My ACE has shut off on me. That was because the batteries were low. Put in a new set, and it fires up just like a chain saw. :bouncy:
 
Hummmm. I WISH it had a shut off. I wasted a brand new set of batteries because I forgot to turn mine off!:ranting:

I don't think so. It doesn't cut off if you use it? Weird.. You might check the condition
of the battery tabs and springs to make sure no corrosion is on them. A poor battery
connection could possibly cause that. I assume your batteries are good.. ?
