ACE 250 died

My granddaughter has an ACE 250 & the coil has died. I had a little 4" sniper coil I put on the machine & all worked well, so I am sure it is a coil issue. The connection from the power seems tight, there are cracks on the bottom & along the edge. I am guessing that those that a smart enough to do modifications will know if a coil in this condition can be salvaged. I really don't understand why a coil not sealed would not function unless some of the wires are broken, of course I never claimed to be very smart.

Wire -connector issue, you are not so stupid

maybe I misunderstood, however if the crackes are on the coil, there is a small chanch of a fix. If it is out of warrenty try this.( If in warrenty call Garrett). Put the coil in the sun to dry any moisture in coil for a day or so. then go to an auto parts store and get a spray can of truck bed liner. Spray crackes with, it It'll seal them. This may fix the coil- maybe-- It's worth a try. Lety us know the results, Good Luck--- if there's a broken wire this won't help.
