ace 250 and wet ground question

Situation: lots of rain, ground really wet. Will detect but will not pinpoint. Solid tone in pinpoint unless coin is above ground or just a few inches below, or object is big e.g. drink can etc.

Question: would a detector with manual ground balancing allow me to pinpoint with same situation? Thanks
 
No I don't think so. I had a whites machine that did the same thing in ground saturated conditons. It just makes the metal detector act strange. To much water in the ground.
