Ace 250/150 coils... Could there be more than three?

I'm just throwing this out there... I'm open for criticism.

Garrett shows the older Crossfire and ProPower DD to be 6.5 kHz. The Ace 250 is 6.5 kHz. So why not add the Ace 250 plug to the DD or Crossfire concentrics and run them on the 250? I have talked to Mary at Garrett and she said it would work but it's not recommended. I then followed up with some more questions and am waiting to get the answers. This could open up a whole new selection of coils for the ace 250/150. If I had an older coil it would already be on my 250 being tested. What do you think? Is it just a dream?

Mary at Garrett says the coils will work but the TID will not read correctly. She said that the engineering dept. has tried it in thier shop. At least they thought it might work!

Mary at Garrett tells me that the marketing department has asked engineering for a DD coil for the Ace 250/150 models. But she has no idea when it will be offered. Who doesn't like more tools!! Mary and Melinda at Garrett has been very patient with all my questions. They have answered each one. What an asset to the fine Garrett company.

Yeah you can swap a lot of these coils but since they aren't tuned to another detector the readings will all be off.
