Ace 150 \\ yes or no?

I have a chance to buy an Ace150 detector for $100.00 . Sellers says new, unused. I have an AT-Pro now and am looking for a backup machine. I hear good things about the 250 but very little of the 150. Is it worth it or should I pass and get the 250?

Thats in the price range for a used 150, my self I wound get the 250.

I agree with Hank68, for a few dollars more you can get a 250.

ive had the ace 150 before, but it was shortlived and i picked up the ace 350 about a month later. i now use the at pro and use the 350 as a backup.

the 150 isnt a bad machine. its just hard to make a neat hole with one. the targets will seem to "move" around

Nothing wrong with a 150, but I went for the 250 because it has a pinpoint mode.
Much easier to locate targets when using any of the larger coils.
I'd wait and try to find a 250 unless maybe you plan to keep a sniper coil on it
all the time.

Personally I too would spend the extra money and get the Ace 250. After you get the 150 you
will more than likely kick yourself for not buying the 250. I know it can be hard to tighten the
belt with economic times as hard as they are but the extra few dollars will be well spent.

I can only say goo things about the 150 cuz that's what I purchased. I have not been dissapointed and as long as you do the "X" when find something, digging for it will be easier. I did not get the 250 cuz I wanted to "learn" and see if detecting would be for me. So far so good.
