Ace 150 ? Ace 250

Hey guys I'm sorta new to MDing but i have done a little with a borrowed BH fast tracker. my question is with all the talk about the ace's i knew they where what i wanted for me and my son. i couldn't get 2 250s so i bought 150 used and a new 250. I'm giving my 10yr old the 150 for his birthday or would it be better to give him the 250. I'm torn because i want the 250 because ill probably use it more but if the 150 is harder to use then my son might give up on this new hobby. what do you guys think is there just that much difference in the options. oh by the way i have not received them yet, just wondering what to do?
 
Well the 150 has fewer disc segments-(no problem.) The 150 doesn't have notch in or out - (no problem.) But the biggest thing that it doesn't have is a pinpoint mode -(problem.) This could be trouble with your son. He will probably be digging large holes. You might just take him to the bark chip areas or better yet - the beach!
