Accidentally submerged unit without coil cable connected

Something I picked up at the Minelabbing event was that If you accidentally submerged the main unit with out one of the waterproof plugs in place or left a cable loose or disconnected, water still will not enter the unit ... This eased my mind a bit and and am sure it will others as well.... wildherre :clapping:

Now that is good news..... :clapping:

That is some great information. This is the stuff I have been wanting to read, intelligent information. Thanks for sharing! HH -Marc

I accidently dunked mine with the module attached, and no headphones. (wireless mod in my pocket) The water seemed to run right through it and I never had any problem with it after its "bath". I hadn't posted this because someone may have misconstrued it to mean you could use it underwater without removing the module. And it really wasn't designed to be used that way. JMHO HH Randy

Now I understand the picture of the CTX underwater with the adaptor attached.............. that was your unit Randy...........

No, mine doesn't look that nice. In fact, mine looks nothing like that. MInelab "disguised" mine as a garden tiller with a read bagger attachment, so as to not draw attention. HH Randy
