Accept/Reject Issue

Hello all,

While at the beach this past weekend, I kept trying to use the Accept/Reject button to reject all zinc pennies, but for some reason could not get it to work. Has anyone worked with that feature. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

If you reject them be aware you can lose HUGE gold rings, Some Indian heads and many tokens. I have even seen wheaties hit that low in some conditions.

Always best to dig them!

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking though that at the beach the gold rings would show up with lower TID numbers, but I could be very wrong. Still very new with this machine.

As with all detectors, gold rings can fall over the entire conductive range depending on karat composition, size and thickness as well as angle of ring exposed to the coil.

To accept or reject a target from the detect screen, first press and hold the accept/reject button down. This will bring up the 4 different size squares that will either be accepted or rejected. After you selectct the size you want, scan the target. One quick press and release of that button will accept the target. Two quick presses of the button will reject the target......HH

On salt water beaches once the zinc pennies start to corrode or become encrusted they can bounce wildly across the co line, the standard 37/38 number goes out the window. I have seen them come in all the way down in the 20's, and solid on a 2x number. any number you discriminate on the co line from 1-39 has the potential to be gold. Have to be careful with that one.

You might want to think about rejecting zinc's...... lots of good stuff in that area especially if the target is deep. You can mentally reject the shallow 12-37/38 but if it is deep, I DIG.

I could have sworn those were the steps I was taking, but for some reason it never rejected the item. I'll try it some more to see if it an operator error.
