Absolutely unbelievable, happened yesterday. Nov 4th

I wasn't going to post this, cause it seems made up. I visited my mother yesterday (assisted living) and planned on a hunt afterwards. My brother suggested a ball field along the way home. Told him I'd hunted it this summer and targets were very sparse.
Don't know why but on the last minute decided to turn into it and give it a try. Started near second base working my way to third.
(Hunting with a Pulse Induction) Very quiet, only popping one pull tab. Worked out to left field, couple pieces of can slaw. Another pass than out in deep left/center got a real nice nickel hit. Fairly shallow. Cut a nice plug, there in the bottom of the hole, I see yellow.
Yep, 14K Gold band. Not very big about a size 5. Well I'll be darn. Continued working that side of the field and back to my Jeep. Well here's the thing. Found that ring and Nothing else (except trash) not even a penny! I mean shut out. Zip. This field is known to be hunted but this is Unbelievable. One find and it's a Gold ring.

Congratz on the gold ring. Truth be told though, I bet if us md'rs recorded all our hunt stops and results in a diary, the results would most normally be: Can slaw, a few clad, a tab, etc...... But our minds tend to remember the one stop that turned out to be the gold ring :)

If you put that ring under your pillow tonight the pull tab fairy may bring you a cornucopia of zincolns, pull tabs and slaw to rebalance the force.
Failing that send it to me, I have been carrying the burden of balance for too long and have extra inventory I can send back to you!

Talked to a guy that made sense. I told him the above story. So his guess is, if that field is so cleaned out, even not much trash, best bet is. That a hunter or a group of hunters got tipped off of a lost gold ring. "Dancer looks like they dug everything except that ring." Miss it by a inch, may as well be a mile !!!

Had an experience similar to that once. Luck of the swing and a willingness (in my case) to dig foil range targets. Crazy stuff happens.

Cherry Pickers always leave the gold rings...If you are finding a lot of nickles certainly could be a gold ring on the next dig...
