First off I would like to say to U folks that cant detect because of the ground being frozen, I forget about your enviroment you live in , because I live where the ground never freezes, and sometimes when i put up my finds on here, I make statements about my finds saying they are nothing special, but what u folks would love to find a clad coin or (well a pull tab:cry:about now) Anyway today with the ATpro found 44cent , some lead brass and copper. And at the end of my hunt found Jesus about 4 inches down . I think the cross is made of copper base , I dont know, not a lot of pitting on the surface metal and no markings . 5:30 pm here and still daylight . Days are getting longer:thumbup:

WTG 72 wear are you from im in central CA ???? Mickfin

Most of the religious medals I have recovered were a gold or silver wash on brass with quite a few un-plated aluminum too!

Only two or three were of solid gold.

They are still interesting to find though,

That is the first cross i have seen all together. I have found five of those that the jesus came apart from the cross.Good find:clapping:

It did fall apart after i dug it Wheatie43. It was a whole piece when I dug it , but after I returned home and took my finds out of my bag , jesus was not on the cross. But I found him in the mix of stuff in the bag . So in my picture U C in my post I placed the 33 year old man back on the cross . Maybe I will glue him back on the cross or not?

Looks like a catholic cross. They put the cruifix on there crosses.

Nice you found the Lord :).

My favorite verse is John 8:12

The Reverend Billy Ray Collins tells me this.....John Boy and Billy Show

As time goes by your Jesus collection will expand. People lose a slew of religious items, especially pendants, and some are pretty fancy. I have an angel pendant that is sterling silver, 24 Kt. gold, with a diamond in the center.

[size=large]To find out how old the Christ was when empaled start with luke 3:23. the rest is research. tying this fact with that fact adds up to He only lived 33.5 yrs. just like finding the facts of relics in our hobby.thats how some of these guys know a catholic cross from a greek orthodox cross. research.

don't take anyones word for it. find out for yourself. Read your Bible.
