About thePrizm 5

Building on what HotTexas asked,Whites has a good reputation for metal detectors. What about their Prizm 5?
It seems a little over priced. Are there other coils for this machine? I don't see it mentioned much on the forums
and that may imply something by itself?

I personally believe it's over priced. There are other detectors that do the same or more for half price. I believe if you add just a little more money you can buy a pro model. This is the M6. There is no comparison between the two. Plus a lot of coils to choose from.

I had a Prizm IV which is very similar. Fairly decent machine, but no real coil selection other than the 9.5" like the V over the stock 8". White's should add a smaller coil for trashy areas. Also didn't care for the notch type discrimination which is the same on all Prizms. I'll go along with the overpriced as mentioned. Move up to an M6 or MXT if you possibly can. My two bits.

Don't know that I can answer that on this forum as I wouldn't be supporting Whites.
