About the Pro Pointer

I've had my Pro-pointer aboout four years now.
Still working good, but recently the tone it gives off
when on target isn't that chrisp sound it used to
have. When it sounds off it is more a raspy sound.
Anyone else notice this on their pointer?

Is your speaker clean? Mine has been fine with the noise, but the depth might have worn just a tad bit.
