? about the new update

I downloaded the new version of the X2 software, but i didn't get the icon to download the new update. Any help would be appreciated.

When I done mine once the Xchange Upgraded it told me not to turn off the detector and unplug the detector and then the detector upgraded. Hope that helped.

The CTX has to be connected via the USB cable and turned on... wildherre

I did the download but I didn't get the pinpoint upgrade option just the saltwater one????

Go to the options and go down to lock pinpoint when you go to the option you can not see it score down to it.

Sorry I just found it and it took a while to find the OPTIONS spot it's in under the menu button, press and hold it for a few seconds and the OPTIONS is up top with some other icons you have to scroll over to OPTIONS.

I was thinking it was by pushing that people button on the face of the detector but it's by pushing the menu button in the middle of the detector face instead.

That was my problem. Just open the X2 software on your computer and plug in your machine the update icon will be there.

Make sure the machine is turned on.

I updated but have no idea what the new update consists of. Tim mentioned the "Pinpoint Lock." Is that what this new firmware update included? If it is new, can someone explain what "Pinpoint Lock" is, how is it different from what we had?
