?? about the CZ6a

I have a nice CZ6a, and went to a well detected park, this is the first time out this year because of neck surgery and didn,t want to dig much trash, so i turned the disc all the way up to just get Penny's, dime, etc. How Much depth do i lose doing this? I still frond a wheat penny at 4". I can turn the sensitivity all the way up with on trouble. Just till i can get back into detecting a little more. Thanks Dean

One of the few units where you lose little or no depth with high disc...Found some of my deepest dimes with max. disc. as I was able to concentrate on one tone and not listen to all tones...
Wilson coin and relic an oldie but goodie was the other unit. Most units use notch or high disc. and you lose depth depending on the ground in your neck of the woods...

Thanks Dan, I am glad to know that. What would you set the other setting on? Do i need to set the sensitivity all the way up? and do i set volume to boost ? Thanks Dean

Sens. setting as high as you can while still having a stable unit...6-7-8 are usually about right depending on your area.

Volume at 10 all targets sound loud.. shallow and deep...5 and below its modulated...shallow is loud and deep is softer audio....your call on this setting....

Some like 10 to hear the real deepies better and others like 5 as they know from the get go if the target is shallow or deep....just go slow and all will fall into place...

Good info Dan on the volume settings I didn't know that it had modulated sound at 5 that's cool when I want to find the deeper stuff just listen for the softer sounds!! Dan your an asset to this forum I just wanted you to know that I have learned alot from reading your post or replies!! Thanks Dan your the man!!!

Hi Dan, is it good to dig the oneway signals when you have the disc level all the way up? When i hunted with it up i got alot of oneways that sound good should i dig those? Thanks Dean

If a signal won't repeat from at least two directions....I just don't dig....however thats your call and have heard of coins next to trash not repeating...again from previous experience unless real deep just don't dig one way signals...as from experience always junk.....

Hi Dan, Went out with the CZ6a today for a hour and half. Found out that running the sensitivity all the way up it would false on iron, but turned it to 5 and it did a good job. Thanks much Dan you do know your CZs. Dean
