About a $700 find give or take. Bad news is

It's a Apple I Phone. Recovered by my Infinium Pi. About waist deep, maybe foot deep. Ruined no doubt, and on top of that the point of my scoop pierced the face. Beach I'm hunting has been extremely sanded in for weeks. Pull tabs aren't all that common. So
someone managed to lose this expensive item. Anyways, couple of people mentioned they heard that there's a tiny bit of Gold in the circuitry. Anyone know of this ?

When I found a Samsung 7 Edge - same area, salt water, deep target - it was worth $17 at Game Stop cash or store credit!
I did not find an online taker. The phone had a sim card but no user installed memory card.

I found a working Apple phone that was in the water for a year in a waterproof case. It charged up fine

Couple times during Spring break, found working cell phones.
First case. Found Dad on the menu. Dad was a lawyer, thought I was trying to scam him. Said no way his son was down at spring break. I told him I didn't know where his son was, but I'm leaving his phone at the Hotel desk. He thought that over and thanked me.

Second case. Got a hold of girls mother. Daughter was staying one hour away. I said get her to call her own cellphone. So she calls and (get this) asks me to bring it To Her ! What a snow flake ! I also told her Hotel desk. Oh, Ok. Did you find my drivers license too ? Too much, huh !

Ha, ha Dancer. Lawyers and millenniums! Good stories. Got a friend who found a girl's cell. Made arrangements to meet her at her hotel. She did not show the two times he tried to meet her. He finally did get it back to her. She never even said thanks.

I have found a good many. One refused to send me the $6 for a box to send it back up North. It was the newest apple phone at the time. I gave a single grandmas back once who was caring for 4 grand kids........ whose parents didnt want them. She was on social security and this was her first cell phone. She felt she needed it for the kids. Ive got a few i dont really know what to do with because they are LOCKED. Im told you can go on line and get them unlocked. My sister-in-law has two that are locked from her husband that just died.
