Abandoned farm gave up silver..1866 indian..buffalo..relics

hit an abandoned farm today was built around 1900, this place must have been virgin....

24 wheats...lol
1866 indian, one I NEEDED for my book, it is bad shape, but it still counts, only need 8 more to complete my set
1926 buffalo
1917-D merc one yr TOO NEW!!!, can you imagine if it had been a 16-D, no one would believe me..lol
milk token
assorted relics, I have NO IDEA what the old man smoking the pipe is?? It is my favorite find of the day, came up like a wheat penny at 5" and it was almost 12" deep! It looks like a small ashtray possibly? Whatever it is, I love it!

I only dug 9 clad coins one was a 1940 nickel, I dug everything above iron, I was there 4 hours and only went across it one way, I was beat, NO shade, 100% sun. Sweating like a pig. I will hit it again in another direction another day, it is abandoned so I can go back anytime. I can't believe 24 wheats and one stinking silver, that really screws up my wheat to silver ratio..lol

NICE FINDS, HOW DO YOU TAKE THOSE NICE PICTURES? THE ONES I TAKE ARE NOT SO GOOD AND WHEN I TRY TO UPLOAD THEM IT SAID THE FILE IS LARGER THAN ACEPTED.
ANY TICKS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
THX.

I use macro setting, sit my items in a window sill so that I am using ONLY natural sunlight, no flash, and I use the windows paint program to size them down

Nice pile of booty... and the dish is awesome. Looks like a Turkish gentleman smoking opium perhaps...Isn't a dish part of the opium smokers accessories?

CONGRATS:clapping:

Your" Ash Tray" is also considered a Pin Tray because i do not see the indent for the cigarette

I have a nice collection of Pin Trays that are mostly Bronze and Art Nouveau

In my searches I have not seen the one you found before

Always AMAZING!!!

Great finds Terry - congrats !

Very nice finds Terry. as usual you found yourself another good producing yard. Keep up the work I enjoy seeing your finds.

Yours and Goes4evers pin trays are very nice collectibles. I have only seen one other in my many years of detecting and it was made of silver. I believe they are very few and far between so you should feel fortunate to have found the two you have. Congratulations to both of you. Rick IL
