But with these cold nights and little to no snow actually on the ground yet it won't take long.

its stretched out over a long period of time. Day after day after day after day. Brush 4-5" off the car twice a day for 2-3 weeks at a time and it gets old in a hurry. Been a while since we had a "good" blizzard up here tho. It seems like you Ohio & Ind guys have been getting the worst of the winter storms for some years now.

I was out yesterday and the sod was "crunchy" here in central PA. It's still diggable, until the fingers and toes go too numb (about 4 hours yesterday with the wind chill in the single digits).
