A winter hunt where few souls have dared

Dancer

Well-known member
I'd had enough, after reading a few snow hunt stories here and in a Treasure Mag. I decided to check out an idea I've had for a while. Across town is a park where the well to do park to snowshoe, ski, and sled ride. This park being well maintained the new snow is regularly Hi Lifted over top the guardrails and down a steep bank. I noticed that the wind had changed directions and made a deep cut at the bottom of the drift. [Much as what happens at an Ocean Beach after a storm.] Well I got off my wood burner warmed comfort chair, short shafted my AT Pro, grabbed my water proof headphones, a length of line and set out on my adventure. After arriving at the bottom side of the Crevasse, I tethered my line to a nearby tree. Almost as soon as I entered the Abbess my detector sounded out multi targets! Fanning the bottom snow [ much like while scuba hunting] I had uncovered Lost Treasures from many years past. It was as easy as a child picking strawberries. Suddenly I heard the Rev of a heavy contraption, and another bucket of snow covered my escape. I was entombed. After much anxiety I could hear the rescuers hollering for me. Dancer, Dancer, wake up,pickup your Treasure Shovel and dig your way out and get the mail. My trusty wife as saved me from another MisAdventure ! ! !

Man, you really had me going ! Great story.
