He told me where a swimming pool was in the forest(swamp). It was built in the 30's. I went down the right a way to a path. Down the path through a large ditch. You know where moccasins and gators hang out. I made it across with out falling in. When I grab a tree on the other side to get my balance. I discovered greenbriar growing on the back side of the tree. OUCH! I needed a machete, palm trees and orange trees mix with Greenbriar under a canopy of live oak. For my northern friends they all have thorns except the live oak. Boy did I get scratched up. I finely came to the pool. It was more then a quarter mile from the 1880 plantation house, which is off limits. The pool utilized a spring for it water source. The pool is concrete, fenced in and posted. It was strange looking to find a pool in a swamp. Hay it's Florida. I hunted the best I could outside the fence's perimeter. First hit was a 1942 penny. Next coin was 2 hours later. A 1945 penny. I found shells, fence wire and a thing that looked like a large cigarette lighter for a car. The mosquitoes were starting to eat me up so I opted for an easy playground to unwind in. That is where I got the other things in the photo.
