A wheat spill from the 40's and a 1918 Buffalo Nickel..

The 10X12 SEF scares up some goodies from the resort that I had pounded earlier this spring. I know I have been over the spots where the buffalo and wheats turned up....the new coil is starting to impress. Both holes had close trash targets around them.

I need to hear more about this SEF, McDave...as you know I got the 6x8, and I'm not the biggest fan of the Pro coil. However, I'm also not wanting to make my machine even HEAVIER! If this coil proves to do a better job for you than the Pro coil, I might just have to get a swingy thingy and try the 10x12!

Nice finds!

Steve

Steve, I can't say for sure that I would'nt have found these with the stock coil. I'd like to believe I would have because the targets were within it's range. It's very possible that I just missed this area in my sweeps. But I can say for sure that despite being slightly heavier, I was able to adjust by detecting a little closer to my feet. And I am positive that I am getting a good, solid inch plus more in depth. What I am thinking, is that it is a much more stable coil with considerably less chatter and better target separation. Which I believe is why I was able to scare these coins up.:detecting:

Nice going Dave.:clapping: I knew that you and your SE were joined at the hip and it sounds like that SEF coil is taking a liking to you as well. GL & HH.

Nice finds Dave.

Steve...here is a good example of the 10X12's target separation abilities. Kind of hard to see but there is a quarter in the hole. And I must note once again that this coil absolutely love dimes !

One thing that Jim & I both noticed (He bought one for his EX II) is that the depth indicator seems less accurate. A lot of times if it was indicating a target depth of 8 inces or more, the target was either right under the grass or just a couple of inches down. Not sure how to remedy that.
