Marcia and I will be in Mackinaw City.I will be taking my ipad to get some pics of them beautiful ice formations in the Straits.If it is safe enough,we will get some pictures of the ice road between Mackinaw City,and Mackinaw Island.They line it with discarded christmas trees,so the snowmobilers have something to follow,if a blizzard comes up suddenly.If the ice is thick enough (I imagine it is),I want to venture offshore and get some pics from places you can very rarely take them from.There are pictures on Facebook that show where this supercooled water has forced its' way to the surface,freezing immediately into these gigantic frozen waves in Lake Huron near Mackinaw City.We are excited going to Mackinaw this time of year,never been there this time of year.
