A wee bit of silver today..........:minelab:

TwoRivers

New member
Today I hunted at one of our old hunting grounds (carnival site), it's been hit real hard by Andy and myself. I did the slow Joe swing with the 4.5x7 coil to see if I could squeeze out a silver two. After about 2.5 hrs...my take was 3........1 1928S Merc, 1948 S Rosie, 1 1943P War nickel, 1 clad dime, 3 memorials, 3 Jefferson nickels, 1 Buffalo nickel, 6 wheats and a badge which looks like it may be a related to Girl Scouts. Not to shabby a day.................................

Thanks for looking..............HH.........................................John

Good stuff! I have to admit I have never found a buffalo nickel. I think I need to do some pattern editing or learn to get the xs to see them.

Nice hunt twoRivers. You and Bryce have me itching for a smaller coil.

Dave....................I don't regret buying the small coil one bit, it will increase your finds significantly in trashy sites..The first time I used mine I found in the neighborhood of 15 silver coins in a 20 x 30 foot area that I had already pounded with the pro coil..The ground was saturated with nails etc...
