A watching and waiting day at the 'new' beach :)

A bit of metal detecting research - or should I say observing. Had a quick look at a beach near us (it's a new beach, so this is the first summer for people to use it). Today (Friday) a stage is being set up for performances on Saturday. In the evening is a fireworks display - around 3,000 fireworks.

A temporary fence has been erected along the seashore also, to keep people away from the sea during the event. Safety reasons I suppose.

The way I see it now there should be many people sitting on the sand in front of the stage during the day. And many more over the whole beach for the fireworks. Shops will be there too, but over concrete.
Plan to go there again early Saturday evening for a better look at where and what people are doing. Then early Sunday morning to find a few coins! Should be fun. ;)

Ian @ the land of ninja - waiting for new drops at the 'new' beach. :)

Saturday afternoon. Not so many people watching the stage performances. Most people go there from around 6PM though, because it is cooler then. The fireworks, from the anchored barge in the sea, start at 8PM with an estimated 100,000 people watching that. I guess tens of thousands from the beach. I wonder how many thousands of yen will be dropped in the sand. ;)

Only had two hours at the 'new' beach. The sand in front of the stage was very quiet, too quiet really, naturally it will take a while to go over that though. So I wandered over to the sea where there was a generator with lights the night before and out pops the first silver ring from that beach! - marked 925 and 'Kissmark' inside.....no doubt some brand I will learn about in the near future?! :)
122 yen in coins.

Ian @ the land of ninja @ a new beach with new rings......a continuing story.....hope you enjoy... ;)

One hour with the Ace 150 before work (Monday), at the new beach.
470 yen in coins (around US$4).
Would be nice to find a platinum heart with diamonds that size now wouldn't it?! Next time? :)
And the old lighter matches the new beach. :)
Do expect more goodies from there, but must continue going back to the usual beach which has a much longer history and during this season more people - except when the typhoons hit that is! Rain and strong winds from a tropical storm tomorrow could move the sand around a bit......
