A visit with family and day hiking:thumbup:

I had Friday and Saturday off from work this weekend, so I decided to take one of my uncles up on his offer to do some day hiking over in his part of CA. After the long drive I got to his house. We hit the road and arrived at Casewell Memorial State Park in no time at all. Here are some of the sights we saw during our few hours of hiking. Took photos of anything that caught my eye. It is about a one minute video.
(Note: I have been having trouble transferring photos from my computer to the forum due to size restrictions, so have decided to use Youtube as a bridge, so to speak. The link leads to a photo slideshow I posted on my Youtube channel showing the photos. Best to view the slideshow in its regular size.)

Also, I have some big news. Earlier this week I decided to pull the trigger on my first DSLR camera after years in the P&S camera realm. :hot:

Hope everyone enjoys.:)

I believe they were either fox or coyote tracks, but I am not a track expert. There are gray foxes that live in the park, and I would imagine coyotes live there too.

I decided to buy an entry level Canon T3 with the kit lens and a 75-300 telephoto lens.

how to use it. You will be amazed at the pictures that camera is capable of producing. Looking forward to seeing some pictures you take with your new camera. You did good. Kelley (Texas) :)
