A very, very, very long week-end !

Saturday, life started as usual. Early morning i went to the flea market to hold my watches stand. Business was a bit slow, but we had worse days. At 13h00the news about the fallen bridge spreadded around. I felt concerned because it was in my town and i knew emergency measure would be declared.
I called the supervisor vehicule and he told me what happenned. An overpass brige felled down on the highway. There were people on the overpass and even worse, people under it. Well i guess you saw that in the news. Up until now, we have 5 died and 5 injuries.
Then the cell. phone started to ring, i was asked to get to work to plan for the traffic jam expected. Got in at 16h00 and left at midnight.
Sunday morning, i went out with Luke in hope of a good detecting day. Cell kept on ringing, but we managed a few hours of detection. Not mutch to declare for me, a bit more than 20.00$ in change, a silver chain and some other stuff... never had time to check on that.
I was called to get back to work right away. Flet sorry for Luke since we carpooled to the beach.
Got back at work at 14h30 and stayed there up to midnight again. Got back home and enjoyed a "restfull" 3 hours of sleep before getting back to work. Back at work for 04h30 to organise the traffic management and assigned 18 units to diverse key intersections. Monday rush hour finally turned out to be pretty smooth. Many, many people got on the road mutch earlyer so the only difference was that the rush hour was a bit longer, but easyer.
Same thing for tuesday and we are now wednesday morning and of course the lost of an important highway is felt by most of the north shore of Montreal, but all in all people adapted and many are rushing to the public transportation.
Media are cheering police autorities for the way they managed the traffic this week...and I kind of feel i'm partially responsible since i planned the whole thing. Of course commuters are also responsible since they adapted very well.

On the picture, there are two cars you can't see, simply because they are under the fallen beams. Cars weren't higher than 10 inch tall. One of them was a Santa fe SUV... very tragic, 5 person lost their lives and 5 more had serious injuries.
