I just checked out this video. Seems like we shouldn't leave out anything, being that if you filter out iron and there's an iron container full of something more interesting, we won't find it at all... I will always dig out everything and also do my part in cleaning the environment.
 
I agree, my curiosity won't allow me to pass up anything.. I dig a lot of trash but I never walk away wondering what it was.. Found a branding iron once like that.. Figured it was just another piece of junk.. You never really know unless you just don't care and are only looking for coins.. I might add, I am getting a Garrett Pin pointer to make it easier.. Spent 15 minutes looking for a lead slug last time out..
 
I think the Pin-Pointer is as valuable as the detector it's self...When you get you'll see what I mean..........

I think it has to drastically cut down on digging time.. Besides getting up and down digging deeper..
From what I am reading the Garrett Pin pointer is the one to get?????
