A variety of goods un-earthed at the carnival lot

Today the weather managed to creep up near 60 degrees. I took advantage of it and went to the carnival lot for one last season ride. Pulled a bunch of clad, a 1946 quarter that was lying right on top of the ground and 6 wheat cents.1957-D, 1946-D, (2)1948,1940, and 1946. I pulled some iron out of the ground to give everyone an idea of the iron that is buried beneath the landscape. This is basically what the entire lot is buried with. Some places obviously not as bad as others and then there are some places I can hold my coil a foot or two off the ground.

The pic with all the iron pieces all came out of one hole. Now you can see waht kind of difficulty I have pulling coins out of this lot. The hunting is very slow going but it does produce some silver. The lantern burner was a good foot in the ground. I also found pieces of roof slate and thick glass (like what the old glass milk bottles were made out of) and old dishware. I love the little truck I found. I truly believe there is much more to come out of this place with plenty of patients.

Thanks for looking - Jim aka q-man

Jim if you let me on that lot I would forget all the training you gave me and come out with a full bucket of Iron , you could not stop me LOL you are the quarter man , we will all miss you r exiting posts and humer

Gunnar you have my blessings and you can dig all the iron you wish. Having said that, it will be the last piece of land on earth you will ever hunt
It would really be sweet if theybulldozed the lot like the other one in my home town :)
From this point out I am going to do a lot of walking / hiking for new hunting areas for next year.

HH everyone and wish you the best in the field. - Jim

after I win the lotto we will have a talk with the school board, and get in thear with the komatsu and magnetic seperators and industreal screen and a crew and sort the whole thing out , clean it up and leav it better than we found it O,K.

Sounds like a plan to me. So when are you winning the lotto lol? We would have to bulldoze at least three feet down (across the whole lot) to really give it a cleansing.

Jim I will let you know when i win , I dont go overboard i just play one ticket when it gets up thear , for now i am just scoping out earth moveing equipment
