A Tx boost question

I have a site I have been hunting with a lot of deep targets and would like to punch down a little deeper, I can run Rx gain at 11 and Discrimination at 86 with a very stable machine. I have never used Tx boost and I was wondering if I turn it on and I have to turn down my Rx gain and Discrimination to get the machine to settle down will I have achieved anything ?.

I guess the question is at what point should I turn Tx boost off ? for example if I have to drop Rx gain down to 6 and Discrimination down to 76 is it worth it ?. Or is Tx boost only for real clean soil that can also run at high settings ?.

Also my hunts can go as long as four hours and I don
