A two hour drive and I was in a different world.

I put the Ace down and had some quality time with the family. I know my sniper was down, but I made it all sound good to the wife. I'll be back to hitting it hard this week.
Took a day trip to the mountains. I always have to visit a cave. This one is flowing into the hillside and comes out a half a mile away. I found a disposable camera next to the cave. It will be interesting to get the film developed.

We left there a went on a hike. It was much cooler then from were we live. It was like being in an alpine valley. The air smelled great.

When we got to the mountain top it was cooler yet and the leaves weren't out on the trees yet. Heck, I thought I was in Canada.

There were a few flowers in bloom like the painted trillium.

We left and drove down into the valley. These kids have to be from Edmonton. You couldn't get me in that water.

There were about 6 climbers on that rock when I took this picture. You can see a man standing just right of center on top of the rock.

Nice pics. We got trilliums galore here. One of my favorite fishing holes up on Mt. Hood is Trillium Lake, so named for the scads of trilliums all around. Did you walk through the cave?

Bill

Nothing any prettier than the blueridge mountains. John Denver knew what he was singing about in "Country Road" , and I envy you.

Not this time. My buddy and I had the wives with us.
